Reminder! The Easter Egg "Hunt" has been moved to the Community Center!! 🐰

Due to the predicted upcoming weather, the Easter Egg Hunt location has been moved! Join the Easter Bunny at the Camp Douglas Community Center.

Also… the “hunt” might be a little less hunt-y this year—but don’t worry, there are still plenty of eggs waiting just for you! 🥚✨We can say, there will be less mud and rain though! AND the Easter Bunny will be here waiting to greet you!

Come join the fun and grab your goodies—we promise it’ll still be egg-cellent! 🐰💛 SPREAD THE WORD!

📌NOTICE‼️Please note that Republic Services has shifted all residential garbage pick up one day due to the weather delay yesterday. The garbage pickup for Village of Camp Douglas residents will now take place on Friday, March 20, 2026, instead of the regular scheduled pickup day of Thursday. This is for this week only. Please share with your neighbors!

Mark your calendar! Armed Forces Day Celebration is May 16th! This year, all events will be held at Nelson Park with many added activities for the kids! Kicking off the day with a parade down Main Street to Nelson Park, followed by the Tractor Pull, fun for the family, food vendors and ending the night with Live Music by Rising Phoenix. Watch for our event page. We hope to see you there!

❄️Prepare for the extreme cold and prevent frozen pipes. If your pipes do freeze, shut off the water immediately. Don't attempt to thaw frozen pipes unless the water is shut off. Apply heat to the frozen pipe by warming the air around it, or by applying heat directly to the pipe. You can use a hair dryer or space heater. Be sure not to leave space heaters unattended, and avoid the use of kerosene heaters or open flames. Once the pipes have thawed, turn the water back on slowly and check for cracks and leaks.❄️

The Village of Camp Douglas Public Works Department will be flushing Fire Hydrants on Tuesday, November 11th, Wednesday, November 12th and possibly Thursday, November 13th.
