📢 Upcoming Events in the Village of Camp Douglas

Summer is in full swing, and there's something for everyone! Mark your calendars for these upcoming community events:

🌽 Farmers Market - Sunday, July 26
📍 Eddy Avenue & Brown St
Every 2nd and 4th Sunday 11-2 through October. Shop fresh produce, baked goods, handcrafted items, and other locally made products while supporting local vendors.

🩸 Tuesday, July 29 – American Red Cross Blood Drive
📍 Camp Douglas Community Center
Help support patients in need by donating blood. Your donation can make a lifesaving difference. Please call 1-800- RED CROSS or visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter: Campdouglas to schedule an appointment.

🏡 August 7–9 – Village-Wide Rummage Sale
Residents wishing to be included on the official rummage sale list should contact the Village Clerk's Office. Participant lists and maps will be available beginning Tuesday, August 4.

🗳️ Tuesday, August 11 – Partisan Primary Election
📍 Camp Douglas Community Center
Polling hours are 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eligible voters are encouraged to participate in the election. Reach out to Clerk with any questions.

🏕️ August 13–16 – Hųųc Mąą (Bear Earth) Rendezvous
📍 Nelson Park
Experience a pre-1840s historical reenactment featuring period encampments, demonstrations, and living history activities. The public is welcome to attend. Event Page coming soon!

Join us for the American Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, June 2nd and help make a lifesaving difference in our community.

We especially encourage eligible donors to consider making a Power Red donation — a specialized donation that collects concentrated red blood cells, the most commonly transfused blood component used in trauma situations, surgeries, and emergency care.

Power Red donors with blood types O+, O-, A-, and B- can make an even greater impact with every donation.

The Village of Camp Douglas Public Works Department will be flushing Fire Hydrants on Tuesday, May 26th through Thursday, May 28th. Please limit light colored laundry during this time. If you have any questions, you can reach the Public Works Department at 608-487-2177.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Armed Forces Day Celebration! 🇺🇸

Because of this amazing community, the event was a success. From the parade, tractor pull to the snake show, magic show, and rocking out with Rising Phoenix, it was wonderful to see so many families, veterans, and community members enjoying the day together.

We are incredibly grateful to all of our volunteers, sponsors, participants, and attendees who helped make this celebration possible and helped us honor our military members.

It was a busy day, so we only captured a few photos. 📸

TOMORROW! The sun🌞 is going to shine! A full day of bringing our community together to honor our past and present Armed Forces. Parade, Family Fun, Tractor Pull and Live music. Free event! Food and beverage vendors will be available. Start the day downtown for the parade, then come on down to Nelson Park. We can't wait to see you! See our event page for more information.

Reminder! The Easter Egg "Hunt" has been moved to the Community Center!! 🐰

Due to the predicted upcoming weather, the Easter Egg Hunt location has been moved! Join the Easter Bunny at the Camp Douglas Community Center.

Also… the “hunt” might be a little less hunt-y this year—but don’t worry, there are still plenty of eggs waiting just for you! 🥚✨We can say, there will be less mud and rain though! AND the Easter Bunny will be here waiting to greet you!

Come join the fun and grab your goodies—we promise it’ll still be egg-cellent! 🐰💛 SPREAD THE WORD!
