Last night's meeting we continued with hose testing, unfortunately we had to take 100' of 4" supply hose out of service due to leaks, so if anyone wants to buy a replacement for us it's only like $1300.00 😁 Also two of our Firefighters completed their 12 month probationary period!! Congratulations Firefighter Greg Johnson and Firefighter Austin Wilder keep up the good work!

Last week's training we practiced multiple drop tank operations at Town of Orange shop, we thank them for the use of their parking lot. Our firefighters practiced gaining a prime, operating off the nurse tank, filling the truck, transferring water from tank to tank utilizing our jet siphon's. We also checked out the reach on our new stacked tip nozzle on our truck's deck gun 😁
Practice of the setup and operations of this is crucial for rural firefighting operations. Having multiple drop tanks ensures water tenders don't have a long wait on fire scene.

To say I'm proud is an understatement, with a combined total of 984 hours of training in the last year, here is most of our crew. Classes including Entry Level, ELDO, Cert 1, Cert 2, Hazmat, Instructor 1, Officer 1 and 2, Safty Officer1, also all of our members are CPR/AED certified. Tonight's meeting was truck checks followed by a potluck to celebrate all our accomplishments.
