First Battalion, Second Marines Deployment for Training. Bravo Zulu to the Marines of V12 for excelling during their training in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Each company executed an iteration of simulated distributed operations against a peer adversary with joint force objectives. The Marines performed capitally over five days of single digit temperatures, hundreds of feet of elevation change, and over 40km of foot movements. Their performance once again demonstrated the APEX battalions that 2d Marines has on standby for employment worldwide.
