Camp Point Fire Department is selling tickets for a chance to win one of three guns. We are only selling 500 tickets at $10 per ticket. We have 2 pistols and one rifle. The pistols are a R***r 1911 .45 ACP and a Ta**us TCP in .380 Auto. The rifle is a Henry Goldenboy .22LR lever action action. Need not be present to win. Camp Point Fire Department was challenged to do the ice water challenge by Central Adams Fire Department. We now challenge the Camp Point Police, Clayton Fire Department, and Mt Sterling Fire Department you now have 24 hours to complete this challenge.

For the first time since the accident Fire Fighter Rob Balzer was able to put on his bunker gear. Although he is still not fully released by the doctors we at the department are glad he is making a strong comeback.

We recently had four members from the department travel to Champaign, IL for the Illinois Fire College. Dean Heimann, Ryan Waddill, Bill McGartland, and Andrew Griffin.

We were lucky enough to be able to fill a house ,that was in the process of being torn down, with smoke and train inside of it. We had a good turnout for it with 14 of our own members there along with 3 members of the Central Adams Fire Department, and 6 members of the Clayton Fire Department there as well. Not only did we fill the house with smoke, but also had obstacles inside the house that firefighters had to negotiate their way through.
