Happy Friday!

It’s hard to believe this was our last week of regular kid programing for the 2025-2026 school year! Thank you to everyone who has come to Lego League, Story Time, Art Adventures, and STEAM this past year! Be sure to join us starting in June for our Summer Reading Program! Additional information will be coming soon!

*Monday was Lego League where our challenge was to build a spring scene. Unfortunately, we were cut short when the tornado warning went off for Adams County.

*Tuesday was Story Time with Ms. Kelsi in the morning and Art Adventures in the afternoon. Our theme for Story Time was Summertime and Ms. Kelsi read “Beach Bummer” by Ryan T. Higgins, Usborne’s “Baby’s Very First Slide and See Zoo,” and “Puddles!!!” by Kevan Atteberry. We then created sunflowers using paper plates, seeds, and paint (see pictures of some of the finished crafts below).

For Art Adventures, we created dragonflies using popsicle sticks and googly eyes (see some of our creations below!).

*Thursday was STEAM with Ms. Kelsi where we focused on music, singing songs and playing instruments. We even created our own instrument, a kazoo, using popsicle sticks, pieces of a drinking straw, and rubber bands!

Upcoming events: Teens, join us on May 6th and 13th anytime between 2-7 pm for a quiet place to study for finals. We will have materials to help such as Post-it notes, pens, highlighters, etc. as well as some food to keep you going!

Silent Book Club is on May 5th at 6 pm and all independent readers are welcome to join for an hour of silent reading!
