Our trucks are aging out. Like all of us, once they get to a certain age, they just don’t function as well. Our current pumper is a 1986 Pierce. It seems as though each time we take it out, something else goes wrong with it. We have been worried one of these times, we won’t even get to take it out when needed. Did you know a new pumper averages over ONE MILLION DOLLARS?!?! Our little fire department can not even begin to afford that. Chief Miller has been trying to find an affordable option. Two weeks ago, we were approved by our district board to drive to South Carolina and make an offer on a 2000 pumper they had for sale. 26 years old may not seem like a great improvement but to our department it is HUGE!

Today we were able to bring it home! This truck has been very well cared for and maintained. Unlike Fulton County, they have all paved roads in Gaffney, SC which do not cause as much wear and tear. We still need to get the decals put on and then we can get it put into service.

Keep following, we may have another surprise or two coming for our community….

We are VERY thankful to the members of Corinth Volunteer Fire Department - Gaffney SC for helping us bring these much needed improvements to our little community!

A huge thank you to Baxter Health Fulton County Hospital for their amazing gift to the Camp Fire Department! 🙌🏻❤️🙌🏻

Yesterday we had the opportunity to help one of our local communities by donating a retired ambulance to the Camp Fire Department. These heroes help in all sorts of critical situations, and we are proud to partner with them.
