It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of former Campbell Fire Department member, Randy Oliver, on September 4, 2025. While Randy had not been an active member for the past few years, his dedication, service, and commitment to our department over the many years he served will never be forgotten.
Randy was a true asset to our team, and his contributions helped shape the department into what it is today. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Our Story

Campbell Volunteer Fire Department is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 1969 for the purpose of protecting the citizens in and around our community from fire, medical emergencies, and other natural or man made hazards that threaten lives or property.

The Department is staffed 100% by volunteers who respond to calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and serves a fire district with a population of over 5,400 residents, spread over 106 square miles and containing over 4,000 homes, barns, out buildings, 9 commercial and industrial buildings, 11 churches, and a school. Our area of primary response includes 11 miles of Interstate 30, 8 miles of farm to market roads, and over 200 miles of county roads, with a combined traffic count of over 54,000 vehicles per day.

Our staff consists of a Chief, Assistant Chief, Captain, two Lieutenants, and ten Firefighters who are trained and certified in multiple areas. Within our staff, we have certified paid Firefighters from larger departments, certified Volunteer Firefighters, Driver/Operator certified personnel, Wildland Fire certified personnel, Emergency Medical Technicians, and Motor Vehicle Extrication certified personnel. Our Emergency Services Fleet consists of an Engine, a Tanker, two Brush Trucks, and a Command Vehicle.
