Campbellsburg Fire & Rescue Department Campbellsburg Fire and Rescue Department was established in 1938 is located in Northern Henry County KY.

We protect the communities of Campbellsburg, Port Royal, Pendleton, Sulphur, Turners Station, Sligo, Lacie and Providence. Campbellsburg Fire and Rescue Department has three Fire Stations located in Campbellsburg, Port Royal and Pendleton which protect 75 square miles in Northern Henry County and 10 square miles in Eastern Trimble County. It is an all volunteer department consisting 25-30 members.

We respond to all fire emergencies/alarms; rescue incidents, including all vehicle and farm accidents; hazardous materials incidents and medical first response calls. Campbellsburg Fire and Rescue is always in need of new volunteer firefighters. We provide the equipment and training, you provide the time. Remember a Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for the formation of a tornado, but none are presently active.

SEVERE WEATHER THIS AFTERNOON/EVENING: A significant severe weather outbreak is possible late this afternoon into this evening. All severe hazards are possible, including damaging winds, very large hail, and tornadoes, some of which could be strong. Henry and surrounding counties are in the area for a moderate risk of severe weather. The second picture below shows the timing of the severe weather across the state. UPDATE: The warning has been expanded to include all of Henry County and extended until 8:30 am. The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Trimble County and Northwestern Henry County unit 7:15 am. At 1120 PM EDT /1020 PM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado WARNING for Henry and Trimble County. At 1200 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Jeffersonville, moving northeast at 55mph. This is a radar indicated threat.

The severe weather is entering western KY at this time and should be in our area between 11pm and midnight with all severe weather threats possible. After the front causing the severe weather passes, the system will stall over our area bringing heavy rains from now until Sunday. We are expected to get between 8 and 10 inches of rain during that time.

From the National Weather Service, our area is in line for a moderate risk of severe weather this evening after midnight with probably of all facets of severe weather. No watches or warnings have been posted as of yet, but as the system gets closer and more predictable those will probably be issued. Stay tuned and start preparing now.
