We’re still looking back on what a great night we had at the Henry County Lincoln Day Dinner this spring!

We had a huge turnout, great food, and an evening full of fellowship with Republicans from across Henry County and beyond.

Events like this are a reminder of just how strong and engaged our Republican community is here in Henry County.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, and helped make the evening such a tremendous success. We’re already looking forward to next year! 🇺🇸

The Republican Party’s monthly meeting is Tuesday, 8/11, at 7:00 pm at the 4H building at the fairgrounds.

Congressman candidate Ed Gallrein will be speaking. He will be talking about his agenda and how that will help Henry County.

Kentucky's fiscal year ended on June 30 with a $320 million budget surplus.

What creates a budget surplus? It's not bigger government, more spending, or manufacturing crises designed to grab headlines despite hurting people.

It's trusting Kentuckians to keep more of the money they earn. It's supporting workers and employers so our economy can grow. It's meeting the Commonwealth's most important needs while making strategic investments in programs that deliver real results.

It's also taking a hard look at how government operates to find efficiencies, make programs work better, and eliminate those that are outdated, duplicative, or no longer serve the people they were created to help.

At its core, a surplus comes from responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars and a commitment to effective governing. It comes from remembering that state government exists to serve the people of Kentucky and not the other way around.

Leading Kentucky takes the hard work of good government, and we're grateful to our leadership, House Appropriations and Revenue Chair Jason Petrie, KY Representative, vice chairs Rep. Adam Bowling and Rep. Josh Bray, as well as leaders of the budget review subcommittees, including Rep. Chris Fugate, Shawn McPherson, State Representative- District 22, Chris Freeland 6th District State Representative, Mark Hart, Wade Williams - State Representative HD 4, Stephanie A. On this Independence Day, we proudly celebrate the birth of the greatest nation in the world and the timeless truth that freedom is never guaranteed. It is earned, defended, and passed on to the next generation.

As Republicans, we stand for faith, family, freedom, and the Constitution. May we never take the blessings of liberty for granted.
