Campbellsport Fire Department Responds to Residential Dryer Fire
Campbellsport, Wis. – At approximately 12:44 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, the Campbellsport Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported residential structure fire at W3176 County Aire Drive in the Town of Ashford.
The first-arriving engine found a fire confined to a clothes dryer inside the residence. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire using a 2½-gallon pressurized water fire extinguisher.
The fire was contained to the dryer, with no extension into the structure. There was no damage to the residence beyond the appliance. No firefighters or civilians were injured, and the home's occupants were able to remain in the residence.
Fire crews remained on scene for approximately 30 minutes.
The Campbellsport Fire Department was assisted by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office, the Lomira Fire Department, the Kewaskum Fire Department, and fire departments assigned to RIT Team 3.
