Excited to see the funds collected this past year making a difference at Campbellsville Independent Schools. We appreciate everyone’s donations that helped make this possible.

The Campbellsville School District received a grant award rom WHAS Crusade for Children totaling $18,000.00 ($13,098.40 for item 2 Technology with the remaining amount towards item 1 - Adaptive/Motor/Sensory/Cognitive Equipment). This grant is partially funded by an endowed gift in memory of Barbara Tevis Meyers for the speech-related components of your grant. We are so thankful for WHAS Crusade for Children as they give our students funding for technology needed to learn.

Taylor County Firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire in the 4400 block of Old Columbia Rd Monday afternoon. Upon arrival firefighters found a barn fully involved with a residence as an exposure. Firefighters were able to control the fire with minor damage to the residence. Firefighters were on the scene for two hours. No injuries were reported.

June FD Spotlight: Taylor County Fire Department 🚒

This month, FDSAS is proud to recognize Taylor County Fire Department in Campbellsville, Kentucky. Serving communities throughout Taylor County, their members provide fire protection and emergency response services to the residents they serve every day.

Units were dispatched to a structure fire on Shofner Rd Tuesday afternoon at 14:37. Upon arrival firefighters located a double-wide mobile home with smoke showing from the front of the residence. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the living room area however, the entire residence suffered heavy smoke damage. One occupant was transported non-emergency to the Taylor Regional Hospital, no other injuries were reported. Thirteen firefighters and three apparatus responded and were on scene just over an hour.

We are officially 2 weeks away from crusade weekend! We still need your help to exceed the total raised last year! Make your donation today by mailing it to the fire department at 1563 Greensburg Rd or drop it in the Dropbox located on the front of the building.

We appreciate the donations thus far and are looking forward to seeing these funds put to good use for the children of our community!

We are just under a month away from Crusade Weekend! If you missed us this pass weekend at the parking lot roadblocks, you still have time to mail in your donation or drop it off at the fire department.
