At Taylor County Schools, expecting greatness is more than a goal. It's part of who we are. Every day, we see our teachers and staff going above and beyond to make a positive impact, and their efforts do not go unnoticed.

To recognize those individuals who consistently embody dedication, service, leadership, pride, and compassion, we are proud to introduce the Heart of the Cardinal Award. Each month, we will celebrate those who exemplify the heart of our district through their commitment to others and their unwavering pursuit of greatness!

๐€๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐๐š ๐Œ๐จ๐ซ๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐จ๐ง, ๐“๐š๐ฒ๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ ๐‚๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ˆ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ฆ๐ž๐๐ข๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐’๐œ๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ ๐‚๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐๐ข๐š๐ง

๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ Amanda has worked tirelessly to ensure that our students and staff came back to a school that was clean and something to be PROUD of!

๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ She came in on the weekends and waxed/stripped/prepped to stay ahead of the wax schedule so that teachers could get into their rooms before our PD days began.

๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ She makes a difference and deserve many jewels in her crown!

๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ Amanda gives 150% every day!! Most days she stays way after her contracted hours to make sure our building is to HER standards.

๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ Amanda takes great pride in her job and it truly shows!!!

First-grade students in Mrs. Wise's class at Taylor County Primary Center brought their HMH reading curriculum to life with a camouflage moth activity!

After learning how animals use camouflage to blend into their surroundings, students created their own moths and worked hard to make them disappear into the classroom!

Students in Mrs. Shannon Clark's Kentucky Uncovered class at Taylor County High School recently visited the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace as part of a unit on early settlements of Kentucky.

Students also saw K**b Creek Farm, where the family moved when Lincoln was young. Students learned about the early life of the Lincoln family and their time in Kentucky.

The Taylor County High School Girls Golf Team advances to the STATE FINALS!๐ŸŒ๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ

The team competed earlier this week in the Semi-State Tournament in Bardstown and earned their spot in the State Finals next Friday and Saturday in Bowling Green!

The Lady Cards finished 3rd as a team, continuing to play some of their best golf of the season when it matters most! โ›ณ๏ธ

Individually, Kenzi England followed up her 4th Region Championship last week with an outstanding 5th-place finish, while Kynleigh Young finished 6th.
