On Tuesday, September 1st, Officer Crea was officially sworn in by Chief Levand as the newest member of the Campton Hills Police Department during our Board Meeting.

Officer Crea has already begun his 16-week Field Training Program, an extensive training process designed to prepare him for the responsibilities and challenges of serving as a police officer.

We wish Officer Crea the very best as he begins this next chapter of his career.

Upcoming Milling and Cement Stabilization Operations on Campton Hills Rd and Town Hall Rd. Construction activities will start next week on Tuesday, September 8th.

Please look out for traffic control signs, flaggers, and workers. During the operations please do not park vehicles on Campton Hills Rd or Town Hall Rd.

We celebrate and honor Koda, our incredible K9 partner for his 8 years of dedicated service to the Village of Campton Hills and surrounding communities.

For 8 years, Koda has worked alongside our officers, helping our community, assisting with calls, and showing us everyday what true dedication, loyalty, and courage look like.

Koda isn't just a K9, he is a valued member of the Campton Hills Police Department family.

Supporting the Cavaligos Family

It’s our time to help support the Cavaligos family.

In 2025, Captain Nick Cavaligos’ daughter was diagnosed with a debilitating disorder of the autonomic nervous system. Like any devoted father, Nick has taken on the responsibility of supporting his daughter while navigating the overwhelming financial burden of ongoing medical appointments, treatments, medications, and daily care expenses.

Instead of enjoying retirement with his family after decades of service, Nick has returned to work and continues to put in countless hours to help ensure his daughter receives the medical care and life-sustaining treatments she needs.

During this difficult time, we ask our community to come together and show the Cavaligos family our support. Every contribution, no matter the size, can make a difference.

Our Volunteers in Police Service (V.I.P.S.) are an important part of the Campton Hills Police Department team!

Our dedicated VIPS volunteers assist our officers in many ways, including community events, traffic control, special events, and other activities that help keep our community safe and connected.

We are grateful for the time and commitment our VIPS give to the Campton Hills community. Their support allows our officers to focus on their duties while providing an extra helping hand when needed.

UNITED FALL FEST

2026 UNITED FALL FEST / SATURDAY, SEPT 19TH - 3pm to 10pm

40W451 Fox Mill Blvd, Campton Hills (Corner of LaFox Road & Fox Mill Blvd).

CAMPTON HILLS CHARITABLE BLOCK PARTY, Put on by the Congregational United Church of Christ, the United Fall Fest started in 2011 as a community event in partnership with the Fox Mill Community and the Village of Campton Hills to raise money for deserving charities.

Each year the Fest recognizes one primary charity with a $15,000 grant. This year’s recipient is Big Hearts of Fox Valley: https://bigheartsfv.org/

The Fest features a line-up of live music, a classic car show, a kids’ corner full of fun, chaperoned activities, BBQ, fresh off-the-grill food to tempt your taste buds, and several different drinks to wash it all down!

Campton Hills’ newest certified Police Officer, Julian Crea!

We proudly celebrated Officer Crea as he graduated from the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy.

After 16 weeks of intensive training, Officer Crea reached an important milestone in his law enforcement career. We were proud to be there to congratulate him and welcome him into the next chapter of his service with the Campton Hills Police Department.

SCHOOL IS BACK… AND SO ARE THE SCHOOL BUSES!

School is starting, which means backpacks are packed, alarms are ringing, and parents are wondering how summer disappeared so fast!

Remember, when that school bus stops and the red lights are flashing, YOU STOP TOO!

The bus may be stopping for kids getting on or getting off. They’re small, unpredictable, and VERY important. Give them plenty of space and time to safely cross the road.

See the red lights? STOP.

Stop sign out? STOP.

Kids nearby? SLOW DOWN and PAY ATTENTION.

***TRAFFIC ALERT – TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES***

Motorists should be aware of temporary road closures on IL Route 38 between LaFox Road and Brundige Road on the following dates and times. Closures are expected to last approximately 15–25 minutes.

Garfield Road will also be closed for the entire duration of each event.

August 12th, 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
August 13th, 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
August 14th, 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
August 15th, 7:30 PM – Midnight

We strongly encourage motorists to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use alternative routes to avoid delays.
