🚨 PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REQUESTED - STOLEN DIRT BIKE 🚨

Troop B is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a stolen electric dirt bike taken from a residence on Main Street in Barkhamsted. The theft is believed to have occurred sometime within the past two weeks.

As shown in the photo, the stolen dirt bike is a 2025 Electro and Co ETM RTR. It is highly recognizable, featuring a grey body, a black seat and battery compartment, and a "ProTaper" handlebar pad.

If you have seen this electric dirt bike in the area, see it listed for sale online, or have any information regarding its whereabouts, please contact Trooper Dogali of Troop B at 860-626-1820. All tips will remain confidential.

🚨 SEEKING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE – SUSPECT IDENTIFICATION 🚨

Troop B is asking for the public’s help identifying individuals involved in a rash of vehicle burglaries and motor vehicle thefts in the Salisbury and North Canaan area last night. Surveillance footage captured 3 subjects entering a gas station in Torrington in the early morning hours.

Time stamps show activity between approximately 6:08 AM and 6:19 AM on 08/28/2026.

🔒 As a reminder, incidents like this are often crimes of opportunity. We encourage all residents and business owners to:

-Lock all doors and vehicles overnight.
-Do not leave valuables unattended in vehicles.

For 27 incredible years, Joon has been the heart and soul of Cappy’s Cleaners and a true pillar of the Winsted community. Week in and week out, Joon and his wife have welcomed our troopers with warm smiles, exceptional craftsmanship, and unwavering support. Keeping our uniforms sharp, tailored, and ready for duty is no small task, but Joon always handled it with pride and perfection.

🚨 STOLEN DIRT BIKE INVESTIGATION🚨

Troop B is currently investigating the theft of a dirt bike from a residence in East Hartland. Trooper Nigro #727 is seeking the public's assistance in locating the motorcycle pictured below.

Vehicle Description:
-Make/Model: Yamaha YZ (2-stroke)
-Colors: Factory Blue plastics with custom Black & Blue graphic scheme
-Distinguishing Features: "Rival Ink" graphic package with "Rival" decal on the blue front fender. Blue seat with black ribbed cover ("Guts Racing" logo). KYB gold front fork decals. Custom blue wheel hubs and blue rear sprocket. Black side number plates and rear fender graphics ("Dunlop" decals)

Please join us in welcoming the newest members of the Troop B family! 🚓💨

Today, Trooper Trainee Nigro #727 and Trooper Trainee Moriarty #615 officially reported to the barracks after successfully graduating from the Connecticut State Police Academy. Completing 28 weeks of rigorous physical, practical, and academic training is no small feat, and we couldn't be prouder of their dedication to get to this point.

Now, the real work begins! Both Trainees are kicking off their 45-day Field Training Officer (FTO) program. During this intensive phase, TT Nigro and TT Moriarty will be paired with seasoned veteran Troopers who will mentor them, guiding them as they take everything learned in the classroom and apply it to real-world law enforcement and community service across the Northwest Corner.

We are thrilled to have them on board as they take these next steps in their law enforcement careers. If you see TT Nigro or TT Moriarty out on patrol with their FTOs, be sure to give them a wave and help us welcome them to the neighborhood!
