Here is another opportunity to help in our own community! The Wilderness Center in Wilmot, OH is partnering with our very own Library and the Canalway Center to conduct a StoryWalk on the Towpath! The date is Friday, August 9th from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. Families will meet at the Canalway Center and then proceed down the towpath at their own pace. Along the way as they walk, there will be laminated pages from the book "Turtle Splash" which they will read out loud to each other. The final page will be at the dry dock where everyone can meet real live Barnaby, the Box Turtle. A Wilderness Center naturalist will be with Barnaby to answer questions. The families will then head back to Heritage Park pavilion where the children can make their own 3-D paper turtle to take home as a reminder of all they experienced.

Having said all that . . . let me know if you'd be able and willing to help out with the craft-making at the pavilion. The craft involves coloring, folding, and takping. Come at 10 a.m. and stay as long as you can 'til the noon closing.

Carla holds the reigns once again. Much thanks to all the participants who came out on this snowy day to help the Junior Friends of the Library raise much needed funds to help our great library out!

Junior Friends will be hosting the "2nd Annual Pizza Showdown!!!!"

The Jr. Friends of the Library have something exciting planned! Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 2:00 - 4:30 pm as the "2nd Annual Pizza Showdown" will be upon us once again!

Cost will be $2.50 to purchase 5 samples equaling over a quarter of a pizza from which you will cast your important vote!

Carla's Pizza will be defending their 2012 title! Come out and have some great pizza & drink and help the Junior Friends of the Library host this fun (looks like it's going to be annual!!!) event!

Hello Canal Fulton & surrounding areas! This is a new venue to help promote the wonderful activities/events that Jr. FOL does around town. Children ages 8-12 are cordially invited to become members to help plan fun & exciting events/activities to raise funds for much needed items on the library's "wish list" and also to give back to the local community.
