So excited to share that we have once again been awarded funding through the Guiding Ohio Online grant program for Fiscal Year 2027 (July 2026-June 2027) with our fabulous partner North Canton Public Library! Let the program planning begin!
We excited to share that the North Canton Public Library and the Canal Fulton Public Library have once again been awarded funding through the Guiding Ohio Online grant program for Fiscal Year 2027 (July 2026-June 2027)!
This is wonderful news for a number of reasons. First and most importantly, it means we can continue providing one-on-one technology assistance, technology classes, and digital literacy programming to our communities through June 2027. These services have become an important part of how we help patrons navigate the digital world, and the continued demand for them demonstrates just how valuable they are. Calen has done a tremendous job in his role as Technology Trainer at both NCPL and the Canal Fulton Public Library, and we receive compliments from patrons and program attendees on a regular basis that rave about how kind, helpful, and clear his assistance is.
Just as importantly, this grant allows us to continue offering these services without relying on the library’s operating budget. This means that grant dollars are covering expenses that would otherwise need to come from local library funds, allowing us to preserve those resources for other priorities, opportunities, and savings. Like our upcoming library renovation!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contributed to the success of this program over the past year. By attending classes or registering for one-on-one assistance, you have helped make this program possible.
The Guiding Ohio Online program is made possible in part by the State Library of Ohio and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
