Come join us for The Arc Ontario’s Art program’s newest creations, “Confluence: 46 perspectives on water.” These artists have been hard at work to develop some truly remarkable pieces. While browsing the artwork, enjoy the music of The Dapper Rats and light refreshments from The Dove Block Project.

The exhibition will run through Sunday, June 28. The Dove Block Project is open to the public Wednesday through Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.

The last few weeks our HOST group have been hogging the mixers, bowls and measuring cups while learning to bake!

This past Wednesday, to show appreciation for everything our staff does, the HOST participants transformed the main facility into a pop-up bake "sale" exclusively for our hardworking staff.

180 FREE baked goods were given away to eager staff, including gluten free brownies, key lime bars, lemon ricotta cookies and more. They were absolutely delicious and we look forward to the next appreciation event!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to support the group and enjoy a treat and a HUGE shoutout to everyone on the HOST team that helped make this happen!

To honor Memorial Day, members of our Day Hab and Prevocational Program JET groups visited Woodlawn Cemetery in Canandaigua to lay flags on the headstones of fallen heroes. The previous week, the groups listened to a volunteer Veteran provide an informative session about the history and importance of the holiday, making the experience even more meaningful.

Giving back to a piece of local history! 🧹

For this year’s United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes Day of Caring, our College Experience groups from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and Finger Lakes Community College teamed up with Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES for a fantastic day of volunteering at The Granger Homestead and Carriage Museum

Day of Caring is the largest community-wide volunteer event across our region, and we were so proud to join hands with thousands of others to support local nonprofits. Our volunteers rolled up their sleeves to pick up sticks, sweep the floors, vacuum, and dust the historic carriages to get the property looking even more beautiful.

Located right here in Canandaigua, the Granger Homestead is a monumental piece of local history. Built in 1816, the federal-style manor was home to Gideon Granger, the postmaster general under Presidents Jefferson and Madison, and it now stands as a beautiful testament to our community's rich heritage.

Thank you to everyone who partnered with us, and to our hard-working volunteers for giving back to a historic treasure!

Wishing you a safe Memorial Day weekend!

This weekend we honor and remember the brave service men and women who served our country. Thank you to our veterans and all those who have served to protect our freedoms. Freedom isn't free, we express our deepest gratitude to the fallen heroes who fought for our liberties. May their memory live on forever.

The Arc Ontario offices and programs are closed on Monday in observance of the holiday and will reopen on Tuesday, May 26th!
