Ontario County Foster Care / Adoption

Ontario County Foster Care / Adoption Are you interested in learning more? Contact the Ontario Co. Homefinding Department at (585) 396-4111 Foster Parenting is a challenging, but rewarding, calling!

The Homefinding Department of the Ontario County Department of Social Services is responsible for recruiting, certifying, and training foster and/or adoptive parents. Foster Care is temporary care for children who are unable to live with their birth family. The primary goal of foster care is to reunify children with their parents or another suitable relative. Adoption is providing children with a

forever home when they cannot safely return to their birth family. In Ontario County, children are often adopted by their foster parents if reunification is not possible. The need for certified foster homes is great! Foster/Adoptive Parents come in all ages, 21 and up. They are married, single, or living with a partner. They rent or own homes in the city, suburbs, or county. They are working or retired. We have a great need for people who can parent older children and teens, as well as children with higher behavioral needs. Call Homefinding at 585-396-4111 today for more information!
