Madison County is vast and there are many communities which our services touch. In Volunteer Youth Mentoring, we try to partner adults with youth in every corner of the community. At this time, we have youth in the following areas who are looking for an adult to spend time with; DeRuyter, Eaton, Canastota, Madison, New Woodstock, Morrisville, Brookfield, Oneida, Cazenovia, Kirkville and Erieville.

Do you live in or frequent one of these areas and want to make an impression? We ask for a minimum of 2 visits a month for a full year.

If you're still interested, please consider reaching out: https://capmadco.org/about/volunteer-intern-opportunities/

We would like to also thank our local Madison County Youth Bureau for supporting our program. CAP Volunteer Mentoring is supported in part by the Madison County Youth Bureau, volunteer time and dedication, as well as donations from the community. We thank all of our partners for the assistance they provide to make us a success!

Last Friday, staff from all CAP offices were able to get together for a very much needed and deserved gathering at Clear Path for Veterans, with a theme for the day of β€œA life of service is a life of meaning and purpose”. We were lucky enough to be joined by Al-amin Muhammad from We Rise Above the Streets, professional storyteller Jim Brule, and Jim Davis from the Samaritan Counseling Center- speakers who all embodied the theme of the day.

Besides the inspirational speakers, food, games, and awards were enjoyed by all.

A special thank you to: Clear Path for Veterans , Al-amin Muhammad of We Rise Above The Streets Recovery Outreach Inc. , Jim Brule , Jim Davis of Samaritan Counseling Center of the Mohawk Valley , and all CAP staff who helped make the day truly special.
