Downtown Canby is going to be busy this weekend! Whether you’re heading out for Canby’s Big Night Out on Friday or enjoying the Cutsforth's Market Car Show on Saturday, leave the parking hassle behind and ride the Canby Loop — it’s FREE!

We’re extending Canby Loop service Friday evening during Big Night Out, giving you more opportunities to enjoy the festivities, support our local businesses, and get around town without worrying about finding a parking spot. 🚗 CUTSFORTH CAR SHOW – SATURDAY, AUGUST 29
The Loop will also be a great way to get around Canby during Saturday’s Car Show. Ride free. Park once—or skip parking altogether—and let CAT do the driving!

Due to the downtown events, the Wait Park bus stop will be closed Friday, August 28 and Saturday, August 29. Please use the temporary stop at NW 1st Avenue & N. Holly Street, across from The Book Nook.

🚧 Smoother roads = smoother rides! 🚌

ODOT contractors will be giving Highway 99E a fresh new surface from 10th Street to I-205 beginning Wednesday night, July 29, through Friday night, July 31.

🕗 Construction Hours: 8:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. each night

While the road is getting a smooth upgrade, expect overnight delays and plan to use alternate routes if you're traveling through the area.

Transit Alert: Due to the overnight construction, Canby Area Transit (CAT) will be unable to serve the Railroad Avenue stop in Oregon City during construction hours on all three evenings. Please plan ahead and use a nearby stop during these temporary closures.

🚌 Updated Weekday Bus Schedules Coming September 8!

Thank you to everyone who shared feedback on our proposed schedule changes. We listened, and we've made updates based on your comments!

Starting September 8, 2026, Canby Area Transit will introduce updated weekday schedules for the 99X and Canby Loop.

What's New?
✅ More 99X service to Oregon City
✅ Additional weekday trips on the Canby Loop
✅ New and relocated bus stops in Woodburn due to ongoing construction and redevelopment
✅ Improved connections as part of the City's Transit Master Plan

We've also updated our community survey to reflect these schedule changes and would love to hear what you think. Please take a few minutes to review the updated schedules and complete the survey. Your feedback is important as we finalize these improvements.

Due to the 3v3 Basketball Tournament at Wait Park, the Canby Loop – Wait Park bus stop will be closed on:

Saturday, July 11, 2026

During the closure, please use the temporary bus stop located at:

Canby Area Transit will be closed on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in observance of Independence Day. There will be no bus or Dial-A-Ride service on this day.

🚌 Regular service will resume on Monday, July 6, 2026.

UPDATE at 2:14pm:Highway 99E is re-opened. Please expect delays due to traffic and we are servicing all stops.

SERVICE ALERT 🚨

Due to a traffic collision, both the northbound and southbound lanes of Hwy 99E at South End Road are closed.

Our buses are currently operating on detour routes. As a result, all 99X bus stops between the Oregon City Transit Center and Haines/New Era Road are temporarily closed.

Please expect delays on both the 99X and Dial-A-Ride services until the roadway reopens.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Please check back for updates as more information becomes available.

🚌 Proposed New Bus Schedules Are Here! 🚌

Canby Area Transit is proposing updates to the 99X and Canby Loop weekday schedules beginning September 8, 2026, and we want to hear from you!

The proposed changes include:
✅ More frequent 99X service to Oregon City
✅ More frequent local Canby Loop service
✅ Route adjustments in Woodburn due to upcoming development and bus stop relocations
✅ Service changes designed to improve connections and align with our Transit Master Plan

UPDATE 2:55pm: The crash is cleared and the buses are back on normal route and servicing all stops.

Service Alert – 99X Route Detour

Due to a traffic accident on Highway 99E resulting in a southbound road closure, the 99X route is currently operating on a detour.

🚧 Southbound Barlow Stop Closed
The southbound Barlow stop will be closed until further notice.

⏰ Expect Delays
Passengers should anticipate possible delays while the detour remains in effect.
