Updated: Portland General Electric (PGE) will be working in Canby from August 27th - September 2nd.

During this time, PGE will be working in the right-of-way on NE Territorial Road & N Maple Street. Those traveling through the area should expect delays due to lane closures and flaggers will be on site.

Get ready for Canby’s Big Night Out Street Dance, happening downtown this Friday, August 28!

Enjoy an evening of live music, free children’s activities, and delicious food and beverages sold by local brick-and-mortar businesses and non-profits. The fun begins at 5:00 p.m. and continues throughout the evening with great entertainment, family-friendly activities, and plenty of opportunities to connect with friends and neighbors.

Bring your dancing shoes and join us for one of Canby’s favorite summer traditions. We’ll see you downtown!

Did you know the City of Canby has a set schedule for when the street sweeper runs through town? Each week of the month, a different section of the City is swept.

The Canby City Council took the first step during the last City Council meeting on August 19th to purchase a new street sweeper, with a second reading of the ordinance occurring at September 2nd meeting. The purchase of the new street sweeper will allow the City to retire its older of two street sweepers.

Yesterday’s Daphne Glen Park Grand Opening was a wonderful celebration of community, connection, and fun!

Thank you to everyone who joined us! A special thank you to the Mayor and City Council, the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, HHPR, Konell Construction, City staff, and community members who helped bring this park to fruition. The official soccer ball “kick off” was a highlight of the day and a perfect way to celebrate Canby’s newest park.

We’re excited to see Daphne Glen Park, located at 2041 N Locust Street, become a place where families gather, friendships grow, and lasting memories are made for years to come. Thank you for helping us mark this special milestone for our community!

On Wednesday, August 5th, the Canby City Council passed Ordinance 1675 regarding regulations on Electric Assisted Bicycles, Motor Assisted Scooter or E-Scooters, Electric Personal Assistive Mobility Devices, and Vehicles Manufactured for Off-Road Use. This Ordinance went into effect on August 6th.
