FF Evan Webster and his wife McKenna were heading home and found this injured adolescent hawk on Currier Road. Without hesitation they called Wings Rehab and brought the raptor to Henniker for rehabbing! Thanks, Websters!

⚠️ ROAD CONDITION WARNING ⚠️

Spill Incident on Deerfield Road near #206 (by Old Deerfield).

Hydraulic oil has spilled on the roadway (heading toward center of town) causing an oil slick approximately 100’.

Crews are working with the HAZMAT team and NH DOT to ensure appropriate clean up, however the oil needs time to evaporate, meaning the road will be slick for the next few days.

Use caution in the area and go slow!

Last night, members of the Candia Fire Department spent the evening training with our All-Surface Rescue Boat (affectionately known as the "banana boat") at Chivers Pond.

While Candia may not have large lakes or rivers, emergencies can happen anywhere. Whether it's a water rescue, an ice rescue, or assisting neighboring communities through mutual aid, we train regularly to ensure we're prepared for any situation we may face.

A sincere thank you to the Chivers family for generously allowing us to use their property for this valuable training opportunity. Community support like this helps us maintain our skills and better serve the residents of Candia.

A large group assembled at the station for an early morning send off for 3 of Candia’s Vietnam veterans for today’s Honor Flight New England trip to D.C.

The 3 Veterans were picked up in style (thanks to Retired Chief Young) and an es**rt to the airport by Engine 2, Squad 1 and the Town Of Candia Police Department.
