Please join us at WNC Foodworks to celebrate the grand opening of Western NC’s newest shared-use commercial kitchen. Developed by the nonprofit Center for Agricultural and Food Entrepreneurship (CAFÉ), WNC Foodworks is a 5,000 square foot facility that will provide educational assistance and technical training for individuals engaged in value-added food and agricultural production, such as regulatory issues affecting food production and distribution, use and maintenance of equipment necessary for food processing, and product formulation and development. The facility will also provide graduated entry for limited resource individuals, lowering the barrier of entry for food trucks, caterers and manufacturers of retail/wholesale foods and natural products.

Want to start a food truck or catering business? Interested in creating a packaged food like a hot sauce or barbecue sauce that you can sell at market? Well, come meet the people responsible for the facility’s development and our new general manager, take a tour of the facility, learn how to become a facility client and enjoy the festivities -- our grand opening will coincide with the WNC Farmers Market’s Harvest Festival!

We will offer (4) fifteen-minute tours of the facility on the hour from 11am until 2pm, with time for questions afterward:

Tour 1: 11am – 11:15am
Tour 2: 12pm – 12:15pm
Tour 3: 1pm – 1:15pm
Tour 4: 2pm – 2:15pm
