In our Interactive Art Journaling workshop, we explored how simple folds can transform the pages of a journal into something unexpected. With just a few basic techniques, our attendees discovered new ways to add dimension, surprise, and personal expression to their journals.

We followed the process, allowed our thoughts to wander, and gave ourselves permission to simply create.

It’s amazing how a simple piece of folded paper can become the beginning of a new idea, a hidden thought, or a little story waiting to unfold. 📖🎨

Just a reminder…our next Art Journaling class is tomorrow (Thursday, October 22) downstairs in our meeting room from 5:00-6:30pm. The class is free and open to both teens and adults. We’ll supply everything you need.

You can follow along with Jen as she focuses on doing some “interactive” journaling during this class or you can work on your journal at your own pace in whatever way you’d like.

Please also know that you don’t need to have attended Jen’s other classes and no major art skills are required. Simply jump in any time and join the fun!

We have several upcoming events this week to remind you about.

In partnership with Family Resource Connections of Tioga County, our weekly Story Hour group will be heading to Iron Kettle Farm after their regular meeting time this week (10:30-11:30am on Tuesday, October 20th). Others are welcome to attend either or both events!

Later that day, our Lego Club will meet. Anyone of any age can stop by anytime between 5:30-7:00pm.

Later in the week, Jen Collazo will be teaching another FREE Art Journaling class on Thursday, October 22nd. The class is open to both teens and adults.

Join us next Thursday, October 22nd, for another inspiring art journaling class led by our own Jen Collazo. This class will focus on how to create interactive art journal pages that encourage touching, folding, opening, and playing with pages rather than simply looking at images. For those who’d prefer to just work independently on their own journals, we’d love to have your company too. No need to preregister. Free fun for teens and adults!
