Had a great time seeing all the smiles today! Candor PD put on an awesome Easter egg hunt for the elementary students, and it was a big hit. Always good to see the community come together like that—appreciate everyone who helped make it happen! 🐣🥚

Candor Police Department is thankful for all of the School Resource Officers that keep our kids and the schools safe. We are especially thankful for our very own Officer Scott as the students call him!!

It’s National School Resource Officer Day, and we would like to give a shoutout to our SRO, Mr. Scott Richardson! He builds positive relationships between law enforcement and youth, often assisting in monitoring and supporting students throughout the day. Thank you so much for keeping our school safe, Mr. Scott! 👮‍♂️🐾💙

UPDATE (8:09PM): as stated in the graphic, the leak is located on the 12" main line. The extremely cold temps we have experienced this week are not kind to water lines, as you can imagine. Our Public Works Department, County Public Utilities, and other contractors are working as quickly as possible in wet conditions and FREEZING TEMPERATURES (currently 32°), to repair the line. Thank you for your continued patience.

Important (1/28/26): Water will be disconnected for the majority of the town around 4:45pm to repair a large leak. We have no idea how long repairs will take, but we will keep you updated.
