🏐🔥 WHAT A WEEK FOR THE LADY RAIDERS! 🔥🏐

It was another outstanding week for South Range Volleyball as the Lady Raiders continued to raise the standard and get Better Every Day!

The varsity squad picked up back-to-back 3-0 victories over Struthers and Girard, pushing their season record to an incredible 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the NE8! 💪🏐

The Raiders dominated both matches, winning all six sets and showing tremendous teamwork, consistency, and determination.

⭐ This Week’s Standouts:
• Anna Toy — 29 kills, 22 digs, 5 aces
• Lily Weaver — 20 kills, 15 digs, 3 blocks
• Parker Zwingler — 29 assists, 10 digs, 3 aces
• Natalie Burnett — 25 assists, 13 digs, 2 aces
• Haylie John — 10 digs, 1 ace

And the success extended to our JV Raiders, who also earned a 2-0 victory over Struthers! 👏

Two big wins. Six straight sets. An undefeated record.

Congratulations to our players and coaches on an incredible week! We are proud of the way you continue to represent Raider Nation both on and off the court.

SR is happy to announce our district utilization of the StopFinder app!

The StopFinder app is another key communication improvement our district is implementing. The app is a secure method for our transportation department to share important transportation updates and announcements in real time.

❤️💛 CONVOCATION 2026! 💛❤️

What. A. Way. To. Kick. Off. The. Year!

Yesterday, we welcomed back the incredible staff of South Range Local Schools for Convocation 2026 — and the energy, laughter, pride, and Raider spirit were absolutely AMAZING! 🙌

Convocation was a celebration of our people — recognizing the hard work happening every single day, laughing together, celebrating one another, and reminding ourselves why the work we do matters so much.

This year’s theme is:

⭐ RAISE THE STANDARD — BETTER EVERY DAY! ⭐

It’s a simple but powerful challenge: keep improving, keep growing, keep connecting, and keep finding ways to be better for our students and for one another.

We were also incredibly fortunate to welcome multi-platinum songwriter, singer, and producer Drew Lawrence, who helped us deepen our understanding of the power of connection and the incredible impact authentic relationships can have on others.

And what better way to celebrate than with our Raider cheerleaders and band bringing the energy! 📣🎶❤️💛

A HUGE thank you to our cheerleaders, band, staff, and everyone who helped make Convocation 2026 so special!

And a special shoutout to Mama’s Morning Brew for keeping everyone fueled and caffeinated! ☕️❤️

Yesterday was a great reminder that South Range is more than a school district — we are a team, a family, and a community.

The 2026-27 school year is officially underway.

The Junior Class is selling beautiful mums from Parks Garden Center again this year! All Juniors will be given an order form during the first week of school, or forms can be picked up in the SRHS office. All money raised goes to prom and other fun class activities! See flyer for more information.

Congratulations to our South Range Varsity Football team on a dominant 49-21 victory over Jeannette, PA last night! 🏴‍☠️

With the win, the Raiders improve to 2-0 on the season! 🔥

We always enjoy celebrating a Raider victory, but we are even more proud when our student-athletes demonstrate the character and sportsmanship that represent South Range so well. When a Jeannette player was injured during the game, our players showed genuine concern and respect for their opponent. That’s Raider Pride! 💛❤️

📚 Proud of Our Raider Way in Action!

Recently, our District Leadership Team (DLT), a mix of district staff, came together to study student achievement data, celebrate our progress, and, most importantly, identify ways we can continue to improve.

South Range is fortunate to be experiencing a historic level of academic achievement, with our students earning some of the strongest achievement results in the area. While we are proud of these accomplishments, we also recognize that success is not a finish line—it is an opportunity to ask, “How can we get even better?”

That mindset is at the heart of the Raider Way and our commitment to Getting Better Every Day (GBED).

We are grateful for the teachers, staff, administrators, students, and families whose collective efforts have contributed to this progress. Our DLT represents that same spirit of collaboration—using evidence, asking thoughtful questions, and working together to ensure every student continues to grow.
