What a great night at the ballpark! CVSC’s sponsored night at the Cannon Falls Bears game was a home run. We kicked things off with music in the bandshell before first pitch, enjoyed perfect summer weather, and got to check out the impressive new ballpark renovations. To top it off, our home team took the win. Thanks to everyone who came out — we hope you enjoyed this community event!

COFFEE TIME HIGHLIGHT

We had such a wonderful time with Tim from Timothy’s BBQ at coffee hour this morning!

Our coffee group got to sample several of his amazing BBQ sauces — so much flavor! — and heard Tim share his heartfelt story of building a Christian-based business rooted in giving back.

Tim donates to charitable organizations, and we’re grateful he took time to be with us today at "Its Coffee Time!"

What a blessing to start our day with good food, a great story, and good company.

Great TRIAD Meeting Today at CVSC!

Big thanks to our Cannon Falls Police officer Berg and Shelby Ekstrom from Community Resource Bank for joining us today.

We learned how fraud is showing up right here in Cannon Falls, and how our local banks help protect us and our money.

The #1 rule we heard today:
If you get a call, text, or email asking for money — HANG UP.
Never wire money, send gift cards, or give account info to someone who contacts you. Call the police, the bank, or a family member and check it out first. Scammers are getting smart! Be alert.

TRIAD = seniors + law enforcement + community partners working together for a safer Cannon Falls.

Support Cannon Valley Senior Center….

We are raising funds to cover rent and keep the Cannon Valley Senior Center open — a welcoming place available to the older adults who depend on it for connection, activities, and support.

Donations go directly toward rent. Every contribution, large or small, helps keep our doors open.

Cannon Valley Senior Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law. Please give today and help sustain this important community space.

Age 70½ or older? Give from your IRA — tax-free.
A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA can count toward your Required Minimum Distribution and won’t be taxed as income.

To make a QCD / direct transfer:

Thank You, Bob Grant

On Monday at Coffee Time, we were honored to hear from Marine veteran Corporal Bob Grant.

Bob shared with us his experiences serving in Vietnam and that during his tour there he told God: “If I come out of this alive, I’ll do good in the world.”

And he has. From 20 years with the Eden Prairie Fire Department, volunteering with Big Brothers, to serving as Vice-Chair of the Eden Prairie Veterans Memorial, Bob has lived that promise every day. He’s also a published author, using his words to help veterans heal.

Thank you, Bob, for your service — then and now!
