Cañon City Public Library The Mission of the Cañon City Public Library is to: "enrich lives through encouraging learning, sharing, and creativity."

The City of Cañon City encourages the use of its social media sites as a forum for discussion. Inquiries will be responded to during business hours. The City reserves the right to remove any speech that is not protected under the First Amendment. Categories of speech that are not given protection under the First Amendment include obscenity, defamation, fraud, true threats, speech integral to criminal conduct, child po*******hy, incitement of violence or lawbreaking, and fighting words.

Fun Fact: Due to surveying errors made when Colorado was established in 1876, the state has a whopping 697 sides! Congress defined the state's boundaries (which are still in place today) by using strict lines of latitude and longitude, making a close to perfect rectangle on paper.
The result of the 697 side shape is a rather funny official shape name: hexahectaenneacontakaiheptagon.
