HERO WEDNESDAY: Meet Your
Dan Harvey has served in EMS since 2009 and has worked with Ambulance & Chair EMS, Inc. since 2018. Dan is native to Fayette County—born in Uniontown and raised in La Belle; however, moved into Washington County and now resides in Bentleyville with his wife and four children.
Harvey was inspired by his father to enter the emergency services. Dan grew up watching his father respond on emergencies for many years as fire chief of Luzerne Township Volunteer Fire Company for 16 years. “I chose EMS as a career because I believe it is incredibly important to me to be able to help people when they are in need of it the most” Harvey said. His favorite part of his job is responding to a priority call and being able to make a positive impact on the patient’s life.
Dan Harvey is not only an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) with us at Ambulance & Chair EMS, Inc., he also is a volunteer firefighter at Bentleyville Volunteer Fire Department, a career Firefighter at Mount Pleasant Township, and a part of the Washington Regional SWAT.
Harvey’s outside community service has been recognized by the Allegheny Health Network as he was a recipient of the “Impact Award.” Additionally, Harvey was honored by Roscoe Borough with the “Lifesaver Award.”
Outside of EMS, Harvey is a family man and football fan. He often spends time with his wife and doing family activities with his four children.
