🚒🔥 Fire Prevention Starts With Education! 🔥🚒
Fire prevention is about more than responding when an emergency happens — it’s about taking the time to educate, prepare, and prevent fires before they occur.
This week, Platoon A and Platoon B visited Wylandville Elementary and Borland Manor Elementary Schools. Our firefighters, along with members of the Canonsburg and Cecil Township Fire Departments, spent time with the students discussing fire safety and teaching them what to do in an emergency.
The students also enjoyed touring the different fire trucks and equipment, giving them a firsthand look at the tools our firefighters use to protect our communities.
From knowing when to call 911 to having a home fire escape plan, practicing “Get Out, Stay Out,” and making sure smoke alarms work properly, small steps can make a lifesaving difference.
We are proud to work alongside our neighboring fire departments and local schools to promote fire safety, prevention, and emergency preparedness throughout our communities.
