The National EMS Weekend of Honor is underway in Arlington, Virginia—a time when the EMS community comes together to remember, honor, and celebrate those who dedicated their lives to serving others.

This year's Weekend of Honor recognizes 37 EMS professionals who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Throughout the weekend, families, friends, coworkers, and EMS professionals gather to ensure their service and sacrifice are never forgotten.

Today, members of the National EMS Memorial Service Honor Guard participated in the Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery—a solemn tradition that serves as a powerful reminder of the courage, compassion, and commitment demonstrated by EMS professionals every day.

We are honored to share this video of today's ceremony, graciously provided by our Prehospital Care Coordinator, Ryan Highlands, allowing our teams, partners, and communities to witness this meaningful tribute.

Tomorrow at 5:00 PM (EDT), the National EMS Memorial Service will honor the 37 EMS professionals being remembered this year and the families they left behind. We invite you to join us as we share the live stream of this moving ceremony.

As the Weekend of Honor continues, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the selfless service, dedication, and sacrifice of those who answered the call to care for others. Their legacy lives on in every EMS professional who continues to serve.

They answered the call. We will never forget.

🇺🇸 As Independence Day celebrations continue today, please make safety your top priority.
Whether you're firing up the grill, heading to a community fireworks display, or celebrating with family and friends, take a few moments to prepare for both firework safety and the potential for severe weather this afternoon and evening.

🎆 Our friends at the AHN West Penn Burn Center have shared important fireworks safety tips to help prevent burn injuries. Remember to keep a safe distance, supervise children, have water nearby, and leave fireworks to the professionals whenever possible.

⛈️ In addition, the National Weather Service is forecasting the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms later today, with damaging winds, heavy rain, and isolated hail possible. Stay weather aware by monitoring the latest forecasts, having multiple ways to receive weather alerts, and be prepared to move indoors if storms approach.

Your celebration can be both fun and safe with a little planning.
From all of us at AHN Prehospital Care Services, we wish you and your family a safe, healthy, and Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸🚑🚁
