Honor Home Honor Home’s transitional housing is open for homeless veterans. We are located in Stark County. Our transitional housing offers support, clothing and food.

Honor Home provides stability by meeting the veterans where they are on their journey to permanent housing. We provide comprehensive, supportive case management and access to both veteran’s programing and community resources. We strive to create a safe environment that fosters healing, productivity, and growth so that our veterans and their families succeed in every aspect. Honor Home programs off

-HUD-VASH voucher in conjunction with the VA
-Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) rapid rehousing funds
-SMHA voucher
-Stark Country Veterans Service Commission

WHO WE SERVE:

TRANSITIONAL HOUSING: Honor Home’s transitional housing is open for homeless women veterans and their children as well as single male veterans. We provide temporary housing while veterans work towards their permanent housing goals. Connections with the VA, local Veteran Service Commission, and community partners aid in their goals of housing, employment, and improved health and well-being. INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM : Family & Community Services’, Inc. (FCS) Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a program for veterans who are enrolled in the VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic’s IOP located in Canton. FCS IOP program can serve up to six veterans at the site. Each veteran has their own assigned individual bedroom and shares common areas. The primary goal is to provide a healthy, sober, and safe environment while the veteran works on their recovery. Ultimately, the program strives to give each veteran the best possible opportunity to gain the skills and confidence necessary to maintain their sobriety. HOUSING FOR WOMEN VETERANS: Honor Home – Women Veterans Campus provides an opportunity for homeless Women Veterans with or without children to work towards their permanent housing goal. One of the four-bedroom homes will be for single Woman Veterans and the other is for Woman Veterans and their children. The program assists with case management, connections to the VA, Stark County Veterans Service Commission, and local community partners. The residents are offered therapies such as art and life skills on-site and virtually. During their stay, the whole family receives advocacy and encouragement from our support workers and community partners. Honor Home is funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Stark County Veterans Service Commission and the generosity of the Stark County Community members. We are always in need of the following:

Bath towels and wash cloths
Comforters and blankets
Twin long sheets and waterproof mattress covers
Paper towels and toilet paper
Coffee and coffee filters
Personal hygiene products for all genders

On June 13th, we had the honor of attending the Canton Ride-In Tailgate Event, where an incredible community came together to support Honor Home and the veterans we proudly serve.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Mike Bonnell, Hide-A-Way Buffalo Grill, and everyone involved in organizing this amazing event. The live music, the atmosphere, the fellowship, and the overwhelming community support made it a truly special day. It was inspiring to see so many people come together for a cause that means so much to all of us.

To all of the sponsors, volunteers, vendors, entertainers, and attendees—thank you. Your generosity, hard work, dedication, and countless hours of blood, sweat, and tears helped make this event a tremendous success. Because of your support, we can continue our mission of assisting and serving veterans in our community.

A huge thank you to Greater Cleveland Aquarium for honoring our veterans with free admission on May 23rd!
Our veterans had the opportunity to enjoy an amazing day exploring the exhibits, seeing incredible marine life, and making lasting memories with Honor Home We are grateful to organizations like the aquarium that take time to recognize and appreciate the service and sacrifices of those who have served our country.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Stacy and the employees of Orkin for their generous donations to Honor Home.
As a proud U.S. Army veteran, this mission is especially near and dear to Stacy’s heart, and her compassion and dedication truly shine through in this thoughtful act of kindness. Together, the Orkin team purchased and donated a wonderful variety of much-needed items including bath essentials, bedroom items, canned goods, and activity supplies for our residents.
