The Fulton County Emergency Medical Association, pre-hospital ambulance service provider to Fulton County, Illinois, is currently accepting applications for the part-time position of Paramedic or Pre-Hospital Registered Nurse (PHRN). Schedule: Part-time work shifts offered include twenty-four hour and twelve hour shifts.

Working conditions: We respond to requests for service from two separate bases in Fulton County (Base 1 in Canton and Base 2 in Ipava) utilizing modern facilities, vehicles and equipment) including:

• Both bases have complete living quarters including a kitchen, recreation room, fitness equipment, private bathrooms/showers and private sleeping rooms

• Ambulances are equipped with Ferno-Washington POWER X2 stretchers with POWER F2 automatic loading systems; Stryker LifePak 15 12-lead monitor-defibrillator-pacers with integrated NIBP monitoring, integrated Masimo Rainbow SP02 and CO monitoring, and integrated ETCO2 monitoring; Stryker LUCAS3 automated CPR devices; Ferno-Washington Transcend stair chairs; Broselow Pediatric Resuscitation Systems; and a complete suite of radio communications equipment including mobile radios, portable radios, and mobile repeaters with dispatch operations on STARCOM21.

Happy Independence Day! Celebrate safely!

Today marks 7 years since our friend and colleague Troy Chisum was taken from us. A long-time Paramedic with Fulton County EMA, Troy made the leap to law enforcement as another way to better his community, all while continuing to function as a Paramedic.

We still strive everyday to "Live Like Troy" and live by his example. The hole he left is still here and we continue to keep the Chisum family in our thoughts.
