Kudos to our deputies, K9 teams, and vigilant community for working together to help keep Cherokee County safe!
Three suspects were arrested Friday morning in connection with a copper theft investigation near the City of Nelson Park after deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle call.
K9 Vader assisted deputies in tracking the fleeing suspects, while a resident’s 911 call helped locate the third suspect.
Investigators believe the suspects damaged copper and fiber optic utility lines, causing an estimated $30,000–$50,000 in damages.
This case highlights the strong partnership between law enforcement and our community. If you see something, say something.
