Today is July 1 — the start of the deadliest month of the year for child vehicular heatstroke. Tragically, 9 kids have already died in hot cars in 2026.

Your car will reach deadly levels in minutes — especially during this dangerous heat dome. Cracked windows or shade will not prevent a tragedy.

Protect your family:
🔴 Put a stuffed animal in the front seat as a reminder to check the back.
🔴 Keep your car locked when you're not in it.
🔴 Once You Park. Stop. 🛑 Look. 👁️ Lock. 🔐

As we celebrate the 250th Anniversary of our nation's founding, we encourage everyone to celebrate with enthusiasm, but also with responsibility.

If your plans include alcohol, make a plan to get home safely:
- Call a sober friend.
- Use a designated driver.
- Or... convince your mother-in-law to let you stay the night.

However you do it, make sure everyone gets home safely.
