Massachusetts woman reveals how she lost $2.5m in online romance scam
https://www.msn.com/en-us/lifestyle/lifestyle-buzz/massachusetts-woman-reveals-how-she-lost-2-5m-in-online-romance-scam/ar-AAW1tVb
The so-called romance scam is reported to be the least reported, but the most common. The reported losses and estimated unreported losses is monumental, too.
The article linked above has interesting and important information to share because the victim is young and intelligent, proving what experts say is true β everyone is vulnerable to scams. The scammers are pros - scamming is their full-time job
βThatβs the kind of scary part about these scams, itβs that theyβre very patientβ

Please be aware of the "YOUR COMPUTER WAS LOCKED" tech support scam, one of the latest scams on the internet. One of our town residents reported to us that they fell victim to this scam to the tune of $3,500.00.
The "YOUR COMPUTER WAS LOCKED" tech support scam is a browser based scam that tries to trick people into thinking that their computer is infected and that their computer was locked. Scammers then tell the user to call a listed phone number to receive help. As this is just a scam and the site has no idea what is running on your computer, you should not call any listed number.
When the "YOUR COMPUTER WAS LOCKED" tech support scam is displayed in your browser it will contain text similar to what is displayed in the picture.

What a fantastic turnout for Robin Tobin's farewell today! Thank you to all who came to offer their love, support, and best wishes to Robin and her beautiful family.
We will miss you so much, Robin, and wish you the best! You are such a beautiful person inside and out. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication over the past eleven years. The moments we all shared and the memories we have made with you will be remembered forever (we could write a book). I love you, Robin Lynn.
