Monday, August 24, we held our 15th Annual BBB Golf Classic at The Quarry Golf Club & Venue. We had 30 golf teams participate in the event. ⛳️🎉

This annual event is our largest fundraiser and plays a vital role in supporting the BBB’s mission of promoting ethical business practices and trust within our community. Thank you to all of our sponsors, donors and participants who made the event such a great success!

🚨 SCAM ALERT: Don’t be fooled by “free” gas and grocery card postcards.

Scammers are using the mail to send official-looking postcards claiming recipients have qualified for valuable gas cards and grocery vouchers. The catch? You may be asked to pay a small processing, activation, shipping, or handling fee to claim the offer.

Once payment information is provided, consumers may face unauthorized charges, unwanted monthly subscriptions, or gift cards that never arrive.

Before responding:

✔️ Never pay an upfront fee to claim a prize or reward
✔️ Research the company independently at BBB.org
✔️ Don’t provide payment information under pressure
✔️ Monitor your bank and credit card statements
✔️ Protect your personal information

Received a suspicious postcard? Report it at BBB.org/ScamTracker. Your report can help warn others and identify emerging scam trends.
