Congratulations to the outstanding winners of this year's BBB Life Lessons Essay Contest! 🎓 This year's theme of 'CIVILITY' inspired 230 essay submissions from students at 81 schools in our service area. The winners were awarded scholarships ranging from $500 to $2,500, empowering them to reach new heights.🎉

1st place: Olivia Draher - Lake Local Schools
2nd place: Isabella Bowen - Massillon City Schools
3rd place: Ruby Moyer - Carrollton Exempted Village School District
4th place: Aubrey Fisher - Keyser High School
5th place: Allison Theis - Jackson Local Schools - Massillon, OH

That's a wrap on our 2026 Spring shred events! Between 2 events, we recycled 40,000 pounds of paper and 7,200 pounds of electronics.

Thank you to everyone who made these events possible, including our presenting sponsors Huntington National Bank and Huntington Federal Savings Bank, and our vendors GO SHRED, KnightHorst Shredding LLC, Ecycle Solutions of Ohio LLC. and Taylor Iron & Metal, INC.

A big thank you to our volunteers from our Board of Directors, the Perry High School football team, Huntington National Bank and Huntington Federal Bank. We could not be successful at these events without the help of our community!
