We believe strong fathers help build strong families, and strong families build thriving communities. The Stark County Fatherhood Coalition is committed to helping fathers engage positively in their children’s lives. We sponsor programs that build family connections and provide education that benefits both fathers and the broader community. We strive for a community where all fathers have the opportunity to be present and involved, where challenges are reduced, and the value of fatherhood is widely recognized and respected. The organization believes in the following core values:
-Children have a natural right to the consistent nurturing and guidance of both parents and benefit the most when both parents work together in a positive and collaborative manner.
-Collaboration with families, individuals, schools, non-profits, public agencies, policy makers, the private sector, employers, funders, faith-based, and other community partners to achieve our mission.
