Join us for Hanson Family Fun Day on August 1 at the Hanson Town Hall! Open to families from Hanson, Halifax, Whitman, and surrounding towns, the first 150 students grades K-5 will receive free backpacks and school supplies.

It was an incredible honor to receive a $10,000 donation from Monson Savings Bank to support The Salvation Army's Ware/Monson Area Housing Assistance Program. The donation was presented by Dan Moriarty, Monson Savings Bank President and CEO, and Heather Arbour, Vice President, BSA, Fraud, & Compliance, and longtime Salvation Army volunteer, to Wil Leslie, Service Extension Director for The Salvation Army of Massachusetts. This generous contribution will directly assist local individuals and families experiencing housing instability, helping them stay in their homes and avoid homelessness.

The Veterans Expo at the Brockton VA Hospital was a tremendous success! It's an honor to be invited to an event that acknowledges those who served our country. We provided coffee, donuts, and breakfast bars to veterans and their families, and hosted a resource table to connect veterans to services and support available through The Salvation Army. Thank you to our volunteers from The Salvation Army of Brockton for helping.

Berkshire County faces high food insecurity rates. We are so grateful to groups like Bishop West Real Estate, Inc. from Adams, Massachusetts for volunteering with our North Adams Service Unit to help with our monthly food bank delivery. This week six volunteers helped us unload 3,000 pounds of food! Together we are ensuring that local individuals and families have a meal on the table.

The Wilco Sound Festival parking fundraiser was a success! Over the 3-day event, we parked 27 cars and $730 was raised to help kids go to camp. One person shared, "I drove around the block looking for a free spot, but when I saw your sign, I thought, this is crazy—just pull in and help kids go to camp!" Thank you to everyone who parked with us and supported The Salvation Army in North Adams. We appreciate your generosity!

On , we had the pleasure of continuing a Salvation Army tradition of delivering donuts to our local police and fire departments. Donuts were delivered across the state as a small token of appreciation for all they do throughout the year. Wishing these everyday heroes a whole lot of sweetness and tons of joy—thank you for your dedication, service, and commitment to our community!
