In 2011 the Plain Local Schools Foundation merged with the Plain Local Schools Alumni Association to provide more opportunities for alumni and the general community to connect with, and support, all 6,000 students of Plain Local. In the last six years, the Foundation has awarded over $100,000 in grants for programming that support the District in their philosophy of educating the whole child aro
und the areas of Character, Wellness, 21st Century Skills, Content Standards and the Arts. Along with the grants, the Foundation awards scholarships to graduating GlenOak High School seniors each year and supports the Plain Local School District through a variety of endowment funds to help achieve their mission of providing a personalized, relevant education to all students of Plain Local. The Plain Local Schools Foundation raises funds in order to provide programming and support that inspires the hearts and minds of the children of Plain Local.
