Herby is a 11 year old, hound mix who weighs around 73lbs. Herby is a gentle, kind soul who is such a love bug. Herby came to us as a stray and was never reclaimed. Herby has met other dogs here at the shelter and has done really well. Don’t let Herby’s age discourage you, this sweet boy is a spunky fella who loves to grab a toy and play with volunteers! He would love a home where he can live out the rest of his golden years!

🐾💜INTRODUCING: IRIS!💜🐾

Iris is a gentle, 7-year-old pittie mix with a heart as big as her smile. Weighing in at 66 lbs of pure love, Iris is the kind of dog who makes everyone she meets feel special. She's affectionate, loyal, and always ready to give you a kiss or a few!

Iris came to us under heartbreaking circumstances. Her longtime owner, a dedicated supporter of our shelter, suffered some medical issues and could no longer care for her. It was a deeply difficult decision, one made with love and hope that Iris would find another family to cherish her just as much. Our hearts ache alongside his, and our volunteers would love to see nothing more than sweet girl Iris to find a forever home.

She’s a smart girl who knows how to sit (especially when treats are involved!) and gets along well with other dogs. Iris thrives on affection and will happily shower you with kisses whenever she gets the chance. Iris has so much love left to give and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a cuddly, and devoted friend.

☀️Everyone meet Hudson! Hudson was brought in as a stray by one of our former adopters and had a wound on his face. Hudson has been treated with an antibiotic, and is ready to heal in a loving home. He seems very timid when in his kennel, but becomes an affectionate and photogenic boy when we are loving on him! Hudson is sweet, gentle, super soft, but will need time to decompress in a home. We see what a great kitty he will be with patience and ultimately lots of love! Apply today!

🍇Jelly and Jam🍓our 1 year old dynamic duo, bonded pair are gracing our page again to get the attention of an adopter, especially since they have been with us basically their entire lives! Jelly and Jam are amazing cats and I had the pleasure of spending time with them this past week, and here is what I have learned about them.

🧁 Our bake sale + yard sale is happening TODAY 5/3 and TOMORROW 5/4 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM! We are also open for adoption hours, and can help you apply on-site! UPDATE: Carl has 2 approved applications and will hopefully be going home soon to one lucky family!
🤎 Everyone meet Carl! He’s our newest boy to HSFC after he was surrendered by his owner 3 days ago. It wasn’t Carl’s fault, they just could no longer provide care for him. His former owner stated that Carl has always been an inside kitty, and good with kids! Carl is very sweet, affectionate and was quite vocal in his car ride back from the vet. Let’s not make Carl wait to get back into a home environment, as that is all he has known for 4 years!

🤎 Carl was previously neutered, has been updated on his vaccinations + rabies, on preventatives, FIV/FeLV negative and litter box trained!
