Proposed East Texas data center ends project, admitting they fell short of the standards I have set.

Data centers must:

✅ Pay their own way
✅ Bring their own power
✅ Reuse their own water
✅ Reduce electricity costs for Texans
✅ Protect Texas neighborhoods

Texans come first.

Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Fellow Patriots:

Here are the Republican candidates for statewide office. We will be voting not just for Governor and Lt. Governor, but for Attorney General and Texas Supreme Court and Court of Criminal Appeals Judges.

If you do not know them, do your homework before you go to the polling place!

In my opinion, we have a strong slate of conservative Republican candidates on the ballot. So, vote for them and vote for all of them! As Senator Bob Hall says, “The Republican you don’t know or don’t like is better than the Democrat you do not want.”

I will be publishing a similar brochure soon for our district Republican representatives and our local Republican representatives. Same message. If you do not know them, do your homework before you go to the polling place. Vote for them and vote for all of them.

I understand that you may not like a particular Republican candidate. The answer is not staying home or not voting for a particular Republican candidate. Vote for them and then come join us as we work to recruit better candidates and improve the Republican Party and our representation in Austin and D.C. Remember, the right of government belongs to you and me; it is your responsibility and mine to bring the change we say is needed.

From here on out, every election is consequential for the future of our families, our community, and our state.

Republican Club Members,

A reminder that there will be no regular meeting of our club for the month of July. However, there will be an Executive Board meeting this Monday, July 27th at the home of the Van Zandt County TEA Party movement....Edom City Limits. It is located at the 7400 block of FM 279 in Edom. The meeting will start at 7:00 PM.

Several items of business will be presented which will include the distribution of funds to those who attended our Republican State Convention. After a closer review of our records and the fact that several have brought their club dues up to date, there are those now who are entitled to receive compensation for attending the Convention. Also, there are several candidates in the November general election who have Democratic opponents that have not yet been allocated financial aid from our Club. We will be deciding how much we can donate to those campaigns.

This is an election year for the officers of our club and following the by-laws we must elect a nomination committee at our next regular meeting. Those offices up for election are president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer. Our officers will be discussing our thoughts on the direction of our Club in relation to the other Van Zandt County Republican Clubs as well as the Van Zandt County Republican Party. We are encouraging members to attend this meeting and give us your thoughts and observations on all that is discussed.

Our treasurer Michael Evans will not be in attendance but will be participating via phone conference if we can make connections. Michael along with his wife Betty have been doing phenomenal charity work for months now through the Baptist Men’s organization. They spent 10 days or more helping folks along the Guadalupe River recover from last year’s devastating floods. As soon as they got back from there, they were deployed to Louisiana to help with the flood damage there. Once more when they got home, they were sent back to the hill country of Texas to help with the flood victims of this most recent tragedy. Keep Michael, Betty, the volunteers, and victims in your prayers that they all find peace, comfort, and recovery from all the devastation.

The Abbott Impact App is one tool we are using to accomplish this. The App was developed by Governor Abbott’s team for citizens to reach voters in their county and is amazingly simple to use. You may download the App for free on the Apple App Store or PlayStore for Android phones.

The VZ County Republican Party is offering free online virtual training on the dates and times listed below. The free training is open to everyone in our community. Attending is as easy as typing in the Zoom link in the brochure below and joining the meeting when prompted. You will learn how to use the App to meet your neighbors, send them emails or text them information about the Republican candidates and legislative issues that matter to us here in Van Zandt County
