Canton Main Street Inc. is a nonprofit advisory group which helps look
after the interests of the town’s commerce, planning, design, and economic growth. Main Street groups have formed all across the country; in urban
areas, rural areas, small towns, and suburbs. The Main Street Board role varies from town to town. Some play a major
role in revitalization. Others, in towns that do not need revital

ization, like Canton, play a role in making sure the
character of the town is preserved, while insuring growth and progress of commerce. is made up of four committees:

Organization Committee: Public Relations, Fundraising, Town Events, Building a sense of ownership for volunteers and partners, Applying for Grants, and Community Outreach. Promotion Committee: Attracting People to Town Retail, Special
Events, Media and On-line Promotion of Canton Main Street and Partners, Promoting Tourism. Design Committee: Storefront Restoration and Visual Merchandising, Improving Infrastructure and Streetscapes, Safety and Clean Appearance, Public Amenities. Economic Restructuring: Committee Targeted Marketing Research,
Work/Action Planning, Encouraging Entrepreneurial Endeavors, Attracting Small Business and Entrepreneurs to Town.

I guess I have to give in to the fact that winter is coming. I just took the irrigation out of the pots on the Flower Bridge. Shout out to Canton DPW who will help take the pots down tomorrow. They were doing so well until this cold snap got them! Stay tuned for holiday decorations very soon!!
It started to sprinkle, so I stopped at LaSalle's Only Sweeter to warm up with hot cider and a piece of apple pie! Stop in when you can and check out their yummy selections 😋
