Newton Hills State Park Newton Hills is one of South Dakota's premier state parks with dramatic views, excellent hiking, and The park hosts many activities during the summer season.

Newton Hills is a South Dakota state park with 128 campsites - includes 10 horse camp sites, 8 cabins (each sleeps 4 people), and one lodge. Each program is geared for families with young children and will expose participants to the natural and cultural features of the park. Programs are held every Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Educational and entertaining films are presented Friday and Satu

rday evenings at 8:30 p.m. The park hosts a non-denominational church service Sunday at 9 a.m. Other great features of Newton Hills include miles of horse, biking, and walking trails, picnicking areas, seasonal hunting, and the nearby Lake Lakota.

Have you found your medallion yet? There's still quite a few medallions out at Newton Hills. When you look for them don't spend all your time on the trails. They're hidden in the campground and mowed day use areas as well!
