Congratulations to Megyn Vollmar, who is representing Canton High School on Mid Century Fiber’s Youth Tour to Washington, D.C. After being selected through a competitive interview process, Megyn is spending the week exploring our nation’s history, government, and landmarks alongside students from across Illinois.

We are proud of the way she is representing CHS and wish her a safe and memorable trip! 🇺🇸

✈️🇬🇧➡️🇫🇷➡️🇪🇸 Our students continue to make unforgettable memories across Europe!

After traveling from England to France aboard the high-speed Chunnel train 🚆, students explored Paris, including the Louvre 🖼️, Eiffel Tower 🗼, Arc de Triomphe, a Seine River cruise 🚤, and the magnificent Palace of Versailles 👑.

The journey then continued south to Avignon, where they toured the historic Papal Palace ⛪ and enjoyed the charm of a smaller French city. On the way to Barcelona, the group stopped to explore the stunning medieval fortress city of Carcassonne 🏰 before arriving in Spain 🇪🇸.

With countless landmarks visited, over 20,000 steps logged each day 👟, and new cultures experienced along the way, our travelers are exhausted but having an incredible time! 🌍✨

Another exciting day in London for our CHS students! 🇬🇧

Students enjoyed a bus tour of the city, taking in iconic sights including Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, London Bridge, and Buckingham Palace, where they were lucky enough to see the Changing of the Guard.

Lunch and free time at Covent Garden, followed by visits to Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus. We wrapped up the day with a Polish dinner of roast and potatoes, a reminder of the many cultures that make London such a vibrant city.

By day’s end, everyone had logged more than 20,000 steps exploring this incredible city!

🎉 For the fourth time in school history, Canton High School has an Illinois Association FFA State Officer—and for the first time ever, the President of the Illinois FFA Association! 🎉

💙💛 Congratulations to Bryer Nelson on being selected as the 2026-2027 Illinois FFA President! 🌽🌟

👏 Thank you for representing CHS, Canton FFA, and our entire community at the highest level. We can't wait to see all that you accomplish this year!

🇬🇧 London & Europe Update! 🚆

Despite being exhausted from their travels, the adventure continued today!

Our students experienced their first train transportation and learned how to navigate London’s famous Underground system, “The Tube.” 🚇

Next, they visited Camden Market 🎸🛍️, where students explored London’s vibrant pop culture, sampled the atmosphere, and did a little shopping.

To cap off the day, we enjoyed a classic British dinner of fish and chips 🍽️ before heading back to the hotel.

After nearly 38 hours of travel, sightseeing, and unforgettable experiences, everyone was more than ready for some sleep. 😴🇬🇧✨

Our CHS travelers have officially made it to London! 🇬🇧✈️

What an adventure it was getting here. The flight departed about an hour and a half late, followed by nearly three hours sitting on the tarmac before finally taking off. After arriving, they missed their connecting flight and then spent more than an hour hustling through the airport, navigating customs, and getting rebooked.

Despite the travel-day chaos, everyone persevered and were able to catch the last flight of the night at 11:45 p.m. After a long day of delays, unexpected changes, and plenty of running through airports, we’re happy to report that everyone made it safely to London!

Now the real adventure begins. Stay tuned for updates from across the pond!

Canton High School is proud to celebrate three outstanding student-athletes who have been named to the Illinois Coaches Association (ICA) Class 2A All-State 3rd Team!

🎶 Congratulations to CHS Class of 2023 graduate River Williams! 🎶

We are proud to share that Canton High School alumnus River Williams has been accepted into Drum Corps International (DCI), one of the most elite and competitive marching music organizations in the world.

River has been accepted into the Spartans Drum & Bugle Corps, a World Class DCI organization based in Nashua, New Hampshire. The Spartans are one of the most successful corps in DCI history, boasting nine Open Class World Championships and recently making the transition to World Class competition. The organization is known for providing performers with exceptional musical training, leadership development, and the opportunity to tour and perform across the country.

As a member of the Spartans, River will spend the summer traveling, rehearsing, performing, and pushing his talents to new heights alongside some of the best young musicians in the nation.
