🌟September Purple Pride Award: Celebrating Ms. Jackie Duvendack!🌟
We’re excited to continue our Purple Pride Award, sponsored by Billy's Tap, honoring CHS staff members who exemplify what it means to be a true Little Giant by embracing our core pillars: Collaboration, Innovation, Dedication, Professionalism, Positivity, Compassion, and Creativity.
This month’s Purple Pride Award goes to Ms. Duvendack, a staff member who epitomizes Collaboration, Dedication, Professionalism, and Positivity!
This month’s recipient consistently goes above and beyond for her students and colleagues. She creates engaging lessons, shares resources and ideas with her team, and always approaches challenges with a positive attitude and student success in mind.
Her collaborative spirit and dedication to students are evident every day. She willingly shares resources, ideas, and strategies with colleagues, always looking for new approaches to teaching and learning while keeping what is best for students at the center of her work. She regularly gives up her lunch or time between classes to help students make up assignments and assessments, ensuring they have every opportunity to succeed.
Her commitment to education extends to her own professional growth. She has returned to school twice, earning a master’s degree in teaching and a master’s degree in mathematics so she could expand opportunities for CHS students by teaching dual credit courses.
Her compassion for teaching and genuine care for students are reflected in the respect she has earned from both students and colleagues. She has become a valued teacher, teammate, and leader at Canton High School.
