🚓Canton Police Department – Traffic Safety Operation Update 🚓

From March 11th through March 13th, the Canton Police Department partnered with the Waynesville Police Department for a multi-agency traffic safety operation within the Town of Canton.
The Purpose of this coordinated effort was to improve roadway safety and reduce dangerous driving behaviors such as speeding, impaired driving, distracted driving, and seatbelt violations.
During the operation, officers conducted focused patrols throughout the town.
Operation Results:
49 Traffic Citations
1 DWI
13 Felony arrests
9 Misdemeanor arrests
We thank our partnering agencies and the drivers who made safety their priority. These operations are an important part of keeping our roadways safe for everyone who lives, works, and travels through Canton.
