How Much of Canyon Lake's Water Does Texas Water Company Have Access To?
Texas Water Company does not have access to all of the water in Canyon Lake. Through a contract with GBRA, Texas Water Company's water supply is based on an authorized allocation that represents approximately 7% of the water in Canyon Lake. Lake levels may change over time, but Texas Water Company's allocation is established through that agreement. This distinction is important because the amount of water in Canyon Lake and Texas Water Company's authorized water supply are connected, but they are not the same.

Texas Water Company is pleased to announce that the Boil Water Notices issued for customers served by the Canyon Lake Shores and Glenwood water systems, as well as the Low Pressure Notice issued for customers in the Comal Hills area, have been lifted.

Water quality testing has confirmed that the water now meets all state and federal drinking water standards, and it is no longer necessary to boil water before drinking, cooking, or making ice. In addition, water pressure in the Comal Hills area has been fully restored and normal operations have resumed.

We sincerely appreciate our customers' patience and cooperation during this event. We understand the inconvenience these notices may have caused and thank our customers for their understanding as we worked to protect public health during the recent flooding event.

We would also like to recognize our amazing teams who worked around the clock to monitor conditions, optimize treatment processes, restore pressure, and safely return all affected systems to normal operation.
