NEW BEACH PAVILION, PLAYGROUND UNVEILED AT JETTY PARK: Today we celebrated the grand opening of our new beach pavilion and playground at Jetty Park with a “Party in the Park” community event coinciding with Flag Day and featuring food, games, giveaways and fun. Hundreds were on hand to check out the new family-friendly upgrades which are part of an ongoing multi-million-dollar renovation of Jetty Park which attracts 400,000 visitors each year.
The new beachside pavilion encompasses a large, covered structure with picnic-style seating and restrooms as well as electrical connections to accommodate up to three rotating local food trucks daily offering a variety of culinary choices, while the new playground features multiple slides, climbing bars, accessible ADA elements, soft turf surfacing and shade structures allowing families to enjoy the space year-round.
These new amenities are part of a transformation of Jetty Park that began last summer with the opening of a new camp store. Future improvements include enhanced guest cabins, a dog park, updated bathhouses, improved roadways and lighting, and newly paved RV and camping sites. Renovations to the Rodney S. Ketcham Boat Ramp are planned, as well.
