🏕️ We brought the magic of diabetes camp to Mentor Day at the meeting!

Nearly 100 medical students, residents, fellows and healthcare professionals participated in a camper-led diabetes camp simulation during , experiencing camp traditions like friendship bracelets, diabetes trivia, campfire songs and community-building activities.

Most importantly, they learned directly from people living with diabetes, gaining valuable insight into the camp experience and the impact of diabetes camps on children and families.

The magic of diabetes camp is best experienced in person. 💙

Today, DECA Board Chair Stephen visited Diabetes Youth Foundation of Indiana, where our Board Secretary Jenna helps create unforgettable experiences for campers living with diabetes.

From building lifelong friendships to developing confidence and independence, diabetes camps create communities where every camper feels understood, supported and empowered.

We're pleased to share exciting news from our Mission Partner, MannKind.

The FDA has approved Afrezza® for children and adolescents ages 6 and older living with type 1 or type 2 diabetes. This milestone expands access to the first and only inhaled mealtime insulin for pediatric patients and provides another option for diabetes management.

Advancements in diabetes care help create more opportunities for people living with diabetes and the healthcare professionals who support them.
