Learning about Florida’s invasive Burmese python! Students used a KWL chart to activate prior knowledge, then read informational text and practiced summarizing what they learned.

1st graders in Mrs. Colvin & Mrs. Menzel’s classes pushed all the right buttons for a fun Friday afternoon of science! 🔬

Students explored force and motion through pushes and pulls, gravity, and the many ways objects can move—straight, zigzag, round and round, fast and slow! What a fun way to bring science to life through hands-on learning!
